ACA Instruction & Training for Canoeing
     
Our trainingscenter for canoeing offers a comprehensive program for all levels of paddler in Solo- or
Tandemcanoes: Skills courses, training and certification programs - in accordance with the ACA (American
Canoe Association). Our courses represent sets of skills, safety procedures and other materials deemed appropriate for the particular environments of the disciplines.
For a successful and responsible training for canoeing

ACA
is the American Canoe Association: Founded in 1880 by a group of canoeing enthusiasts, the ACA has
grown into the largest and most active nonprofit paddle sports organization in the world. The Instruction program was started in 1972. Today the ACA is dedicated to promoting canoeing, kayaking, and rafting as
wholesome lifetime recreational activities.
Certified ACA Instructors follow a specific and proven standard of practice and are recognized as the “gold
standard” of paddlesport instruction in the United States. An Instructor certification is valid for 4 years. To maintain Instructor status, an Instructor have to teach a minimum of courses
in their discipline within the 4 year certification and participate in an Instructor Update Workshop from an Instructor Trainer.
The ACA is setting standards - also in Germany.
